When deciding whether or not to purchase DW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or theft of, Vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.įor retail rentals only secured with Extended Protection within the cost of the rental (excluding any liability protection or insurance coverage provided under a commercial contract), the following shall apply:Įxtended Protection (EP) (Where available): Owner provides Renter or any AAD with third party liability protection in an amount equal to the minimum financial responsibility limits applicable to the vehicle (the Primary Protection). DW does not apply to damage occurring in Mexico. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary and unless prohibited by law, DW does not apply to lost or damaged keys, key fobs, transponders, Optional Accessories, or any liability imposed by law. If Renter purchases DW, Owner agrees, subject to the actions that invalidate DW listed below, to contractually waive some or all of Renter’s damage responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss or theft of, Vehicle or any part or accessory and related costs regardless of fault or negligence. Renter may purchase DW from Owner for an additional fee. The purchase of damage waiver is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. Contact the rental branch for details.ĭamage waiver is not insurance. Some Vehicles are only protected up to 5000.00 USD. If accepted, Enterprise will contractually waive some or all of the Renter's responsibility for the cost of damage to loss or theft of vehicle. Damage Waiver is offered at this branch for most makes and models and ranges from 75.00 to 400.00 USD per day.
